WELCOME TO OUR HOME
Wayintsik Perú - or "our home" in Spanish - is a Peruvian organization committed to promoting and producing knowledge around three themes:
Climate change and climate justice
Water resources management
Sustainability
Through awareness-raising activities and the implementation of development projects, we contribute to improving the living conditions of the populations most vulnerable to the impacts of global warming in Peru.
At present, our area of influence covers a large part of the Cordillera Blanca, the most extensive snow-capped tropical mountain range in the world.
Our main office is in the city of Huaraz, department of Ancash, from where we coordinate our work with several local communities: Llupa, Yarush, Cantu, Rivas, Ashnucancha and other villages near the Quillcay hydrographic unit.
People living in this part of the country are exposed to the impacts of climate change. For this reason, most of our projects are aimed at facilitating adaptation to climate change.
